Our roots in Sri Lanka
From the tree
to your home.
Every step is intentional. Real rubber. Real people. Real impact.
01Why Sri Lanka
Some of the finest
rubber trees in the world.
Sri Lanka is home to some of the finest natural rubber trees in the world. The tropical climate, rich soil and generations of agricultural knowledge make ideal conditions for growing rubber.
Natural rubber is renewable and biodegradable, unlike synthetic, petroleum-based alternatives. By sourcing from Sri Lankan rubber plantations, our products start with environmental responsibility from the very first step.

02The tapping
A skilled,
gentle harvest.
Rubber tapping does not harm the tree. A thin cut is made in the bark and the latex flows into a collecting cup. The trees are never felled, and they keep producing for many years.
It takes skilled hands and deep knowledge of the trees, passed down through generations of farming families in Sri Lanka.
Every Sweepa® product begins with a tree, and the family that tends it.
03The people
Supporting small-scale
farmers.
We keep direct, long-standing relationships with local small-crop farming families in Sri Lanka, some going back more than 35 years. When you buy Sweepa®, you support these farmers and their communities.
Direct relationships
We work with farming families directly, building trust over decades rather than seasons.
Fair and steady demand
Consistent demand gives families security and the confidence to plan for the future.
Natural over synthetic
Choosing natural rubber keeps a livelihood alive for families who depend on the trees.
Stronger communities
Stable demand supports local economies and the fabric of rural life across Sri Lanka.

04The planet
Trees that keep
giving back.
Rubber trees absorb CO₂ throughout their productive life. When a tree reaches the end of its productive cycle, it is replaced with a sapling, so the plantation renews itself.
Using natural rubber instead of petroleum-based materials reduces dependence on fossil fuels and supports renewable, biodegradable products.
